Locked Memories

There was once an audacious shoe
Trudging freely with dignity
Alone it was for eternity
It made its own destiny
With pride and glory
It was happy
It was cheery

The shoe shined like an expensive jewelry
It was beautiful, it was shimmery
Until a villain came along the way
Intoxicating the shoe with injuries
The shoe started reeking of hostility
Slowly losing its boldness and fiery

Darkness invaded the shoe’s sanity
Wrapping itself with mistrust and fury
The poor shoe Locked its own memories
Hoping bravery would come along the way
To someday unshackle the chain of misery
